BULLARD Oliver Otto age 81 of Dayton passed away Wed. July 18 2001 at his residence. He was born in Nashville TN & was a resident of Dayton over 55 years. He was a graduate of Tennessee State University an active supporter of Wilberforce University Lane College & Fisk University where he was the recipient of numerous awards. He was a faithful member of St. Margaret's Episcopal Church & Building Committee. Otto was a retired chemist from W.P.A.F.B. & a well-known real estate entrepreneur. Precededin death by his parents Estella & T. H. Bullard. Sr. MD; brother H. T. Bullard Jr. MD; sister Veleria Bullard PhD. Survivors include devoted cousin Glenna (Elmer) Ross who lovingly assisted him during his illness. Other cousins include Stephen (Karen) Ross. Annelga (Donald) Weaver Charles (Ruby) Smith Virgil (Lena) Smith Marvin Smith Gloria Sims Earl (Gwendolyn) Crawford Mary E. Taylor; faithful friends including Olivia Perry Nellie Terrell Gloria Butler Saint & Herman Prunty Charles Geiger Dr. & Mrs. J.Belle Bernice Long; caregiver Elizabeth Ross; a host of other relatives & friends. Otto was a gracious and generous host who loved to entertain and share the bounty of his blessings. Particularly his annual Soul Food Party was greatly anticipated for thefeast of food and fellowship. Always the third Saturday in January scores of soulfood devotees braved ice storms blizzards or otherwise inclement weather for this annual pilgrimage to Otto's house. We are thankful for the precious memories and will greatly miss his presence. Services to celebrate the life of Oliver Otto Bullard will be held 12:00 Noon Mon. July 23 2001 at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church 3012 McCall St. Fr. Benjamin Speare-Hardy II celebrant. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Bowman Funeral Chapel SOUTH 2060 Germantown St. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Procession will form at the Church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the St. Margaret's Episcopal Church Building Fund 3012 McCall St. Dayton OH 45417.
