Velma D. Hill_Boyce: A 1962 Dunbar High School Graduate.  Married James Boyce Sr, June 9, 1962. Born to this union are (3) children. Dorothy Jane; James Jr; and Jacob Christopher Boyce. Her Middle child was murdered, Nov, 1993. James Jr had (3) daughters, and (2) Sons. Jacob C.Boyce had (2) Sons; Dorothy Boyce (Waiting on God)! No Children.
Velma is employed with the Dayton Board of Education.
Velma is extremely well known throughout her community for the love she render's to all children in the City of Dayton,
Ohio. All walks of life, from the poor house to the Palace,
Velma has a special gift which is loving all people without
prejudice and a Spirit of forgiving People without the spirit
of grudmentalness. Her Character, and Faith is like Job. Which have been exemplified amongst her Spiritual and Natural Family; as well as her Neighbors, Friends, and Community. Velma's nickname is Dippy. Velma's favorite Uncle, Uncle Pete and Uncle Jake gave her this traditional name since 1968. Her Legacy will be her skillful creation and passion for cooking.  However, Velma's BAKING is EXTRADINARE! We are preparing to enter Velma into a Baking Competition this year.
